We are a Chritable Trust, registered in the Independent State of Samoa. Our full name is Olo o Le Alofa, which in Samoan means 'Fortress of Love'. Samoa has a large stray dog population and in the past many have thought 'culling' was the answer. We know that stray dogs come from free-roaming owned dogs and the solution is the understanding of responsible pet ownership, including the proper treatma
net, care, and humane population management. To help with understanding we will educate and advocate responsible pet ownership, and help remove barriers to de-sexing. Toyota Townace, Mitsubishi Delica). That will enable us to deliver dogs to clinics for desexing . We have plans to build an animal shelter and pet hotel, to help sustain the funding required to achieve our objectives. Our ongoing needs include: funds to have animals desexed, Village de-sexing clinics, educational resources ...as well as the day to day running of the charity. Our Trustees and Executive Committee are responsible pet owners and the OLA Samoa is modelled on best practice and transparency. We have a long journey ahead and would love you to join us. Help us help them.
