It was a tough day walking into Christ’s Table knowing that one of our fearless leaders, Caribeth, would not be popping in. There was a different feeling in the building today—a quiet reminder of how much she meant to all of us.

And then lunch arrived… along with our friends from Midwest Community Service, ready to serve. Before long, laughter and smiles filled the kitchen. There may have even been a sq**rt gun involved—and it was game on!

What a gift that was for our heavy hearts.

It seemed especially fitting because one of Caribeth’s greatest passions was our MRDD community. She loved deeply, respected fiercely, and advocated endlessly for so many over the years. She believed in people, celebrated their gifts, and made sure their voices were heard.

Today, surrounded by the joy, energy, and friendships she cherished so much, we were reminded that the best way to honor her is to keep moving forward and continue the work she loved. Her legacy lives on in every act of kindness, every smile shared, and every life touched.

Thank you, Midwest Community Service, for bringing exactly what we needed today.

Today, our Christ’s Table family is mourning the loss of a dear friend, dedicated board member, and extraordinary woman, Caribeth.

Caribeth loved Christ’s Table with all her heart. She believed deeply in our mission of feeding people, loving people, and treating every person with dignity and compassion. Her voice helped guide our organization, her generosity helped sustain it, and her unwavering commitment made Christ’s Table stronger.

Those who knew Caribeth knew she was never afraid to speak her mind. She was passionate, honest, and fiercely loyal. Beneath her tough exterior was a heart that cared deeply for others, especially those who were struggling. She challenged us, encouraged us, and reminded us to keep moving forward even when the road was difficult.

Her impact on Christ’s Table will be felt for years to come—in the meals served, the lives touched, and the mission she helped strengthen. We are grateful for the time we shared with her, for her leadership, her friendship, and the countless ways she made a difference.

Today we honor her memory, celebrate her life, and give thanks for the blessing she was to Christ’s Table and to our community.

Rest peacefully, Caribeth. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

🍩 Happy National Donut Day! 🍩

Today we want to give a special shout-out to our wonderful friends at Donald’s Donuts! While National Donut Day is a great reason to celebrate, their generosity and support are something we are thankful for every single day.

Each morning, we pick up donuts from Donald’s Donuts to share with those we serve at Christ’s Table. What may seem like a simple donut often brings a smile, starts a conversation, and reminds someone that they are cared for.

To the entire team at Donald’s Donuts, thank you for your daily partnership, your kindness, and your commitment to our community. Your generosity helps make each day a little sweeter for so many people. EVERYDAY!!

What a day! rea & Associates were on the move throughout our community, rolling up their sleeves and making a difference wherever they went. We were thrilled that one of their teams chose serving at Christ’s Table as their mission for the day!

Their energy, hard work, and willingness to serve helped us feed our neighbors and brought so much joy to everyone they encountered. From helping hands to warm smiles, they reminded us that kindness and compassion can brighten any day.

Thank you, rea & Associates, for investing in our community and for being such a tremendous blessing to those we serve. And those smiles? They said it all!

It’s been a week. But then friends walk through the door, and you’re reminded that everything is going to be alright.

Today, our friends and fellow members of Zanesville Daybreak Rotary Club showed with their hearts, their smiles, and a generous donation! They understand what we do, they believe in what we do, they volunteer, and they support our mission.

Sometimes the greatest gift is simply knowing you’re not doing this work alone.

Thank you, dear friends, for standing beside us, for believing in our mission, and for helping us share love, hope, and kindness with others. Your friendship and support make a difference far beyond what words can express.

And just like that, our kitchen was filled with young people again!

There’s something special about seeing the next generation step up to serve others. Today, we were blessed to have a wonderful group from the First Church of the Nazarene helping serve lunch at Christ’s Table.

Their energy, smiles, and willingness to serve made a difference for everyone who walked through our doors. We are so grateful for their servant hearts and for taking time out of their day to help care for our community.
