We were honored to join a community panel discussion on affordable housing alongside County, Commissioner Huppman, local business owners, and a representative from affordable housing First Corp.
What stood out the most was how deeply housing affordability impacts every part of a local community. Having conversations that matter because affordable housing is not just a housing issue, it’s an economic development issue, a workforce issue, and a quality of life issue.
Grateful for the opportunity to be a part of a productive conversation, focused on practical solutions and support both current residents and future generations.πŸ‘

Nassau County, FL is investing in local entrepreneurs through the new RISE Program, helping small businesses grow by reducing development related costs and expanding opportunities across our community.
We’re proud to support initiatives that strengthen our local economy and encourage small business success in Nassau County.πŸŽ‰

Nassau County Launches New RISE Program to Support Small Business Growth

Nassau County is excited to announce the launch of the RISE Program (Resources for Small Business Expansion), a new initiative designed to support local entrepreneurs and encourage business growth within the county.

The program provides eligible small businesses with up to $20,000 in credits that can be applied toward certain county development-related costs, including impact fees, permitting, and inspection fees associated with expansion projects.

RISE is intended to reduce upfront barriers for growing businesses while helping strengthen the local economy, create jobs, and keep investment in Nassau County. Participants work with a Small Business Development Center (SBDC) advisor to determine eligibility and guide them through the application process.

To schedule an appointment, please scan the QR Code on the attached flyer.

If you have any questions, please contact Mike Mickler of the Small Business Development Center at [email protected] or Economic Resources Manager for Nassau County, Kathy Freyman, at [email protected].
