Our individuals are learning hands-on life skills, planting, watering, harvesting, and taking pride in watching something they helped create come to life. It’s more than gardening… it’s confidence, independence, and joy growing right alongside every plant. 🌿✨

🌟 Meet Our Staff: Allan! 🌟

Today we're shining the spotlight on Allan, our Director of Contracts for Respect of Florida!

Allan joined The Arc Nassau on January 4, 2019, and has been an invaluable part of our team ever since. Through Respect of Florida, Allan oversees contracts for groundskeeping and janitorial services at three rest areas and two weigh stations spanning from Nassau County to St. Johns County.

In his role, Allan manages a dedicated team of 35 employees, helping ensure these facilities remain clean, welcoming, and well-maintained for the thousands of travelers who use them each day.

When he's not busy leading his team, Allan enjoys spending time around cars, hitting the golf course, and cheering on the Florida Gators!

Thank you, Allan, for your leadership, dedication, and commitment to the mission of The Arc Nassau and Respect of Florida. We appreciate all that you do! 💙

🌟 Meet Our Staff : Toni Telfair 🌟

Toni is our front desk receptionist here at The Arc Nassau! Toni has been with us since September 2023, starting her journey with us in our in-house thrift store. Did you know The Arc Nassau once had its very own thrift store?

Although the thrift store eventually closed to allow for new opportunities and growth within our organization, we were lucky enough to have Toni transition to our front desk team where she continues to make such a positive impact every day.

Fun fact: Toni’s aunt worked here long before it was even called The Arc Nassau — back when it was known as Hands and Hearts! 💙

When Toni isn’t greeting guests with a smile or answering phone calls, she loves spending time with her grandchildren. Toni has such a kind heart and truly loves helping others, and we are so thankful to have her as part of The Arc Nassau family!

🌟 Meet Our Staff: Jennifer Paulk, Executive Director of The Arc Nassau 🌟

At The Arc Nassau, we want our community to get to know the incredible team behind our mission. Over the coming weeks, we’ll be introducing our staff members through special Facebook posts so you can learn more about the people who make our organization so special.

Today, we are proud to introduce the leader who keeps us all moving forward — our Executive Director, Jennifer Paulk.
Jennifer’s roots run deep in the nonprofit world, with over 14 years of experience making a meaningful impact in our community.

Her impressive career includes:
- Riverside Arts Market – Vendor Manager & Entertainment Coordinator
- Lutheran Social Services – Director of Nourishment Network
- Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens – Events Manager & Entertainment Coordinator

Jennifer joined The Arc Nassau as Director of Marketing and Development, then advanced to Assistant Executive Director, and now serves as our Executive Director.

Her dedication to the community extends far beyond her role at The Arc Nassau. Jennifer actively volunteers with several organizations, including:
- Nassau County Transportation Disadvantaged Board
- Women of Nassau
- Blue Fire Theatre
- Katelyn's Ride for Autism
- Affordable Housing First

Jennifer truly loves what she does. She goes above and beyond to ensure the individuals we serve feel valued, supported, and loved. She makes it a priority to help each person feel important and seen. Her compassion and commitment also extend to her staff, and the care she shows her employees is truly one of a kind.
We are incredibly grateful for Jennifer’s leadership, passion, and heart. 💙
