Bahay Aruga’s mission touches my heart deeply. By giving children battling cancer and their families a place to stay during treatment at PGH, it offers comfort during some of their most difficult days.
As I celebrate my birthday, I am grateful for the gift of life and the opportunity to share love with others. My birthday wish is to bring comfort and hope to children and families facing journeys no family should have to face alone.
As Alexandra’s father, I carry both the pain of losing my daughter and the love that continues to inspire me. Aprayer4Alex was born from that love—born from heartbreak, but fueled by faith and the desire to bring hope to others.
When I think of the families at Bahay Aruga, I think of parents praying beside their children, holding on to hope, and finding the strength to face another day. My heart goes out to each of them.
Through Aprayer4Alex, my hope is to reach families like these with compassion, prayer, and practical help. A meal, daily necessities, or support for a safe place to rest can help a family feel less alone. To mark my birthday, I invite you to join me in remembering these families through your prayers and whatever kindness you can share.
In Alexandra’s memory, we want to keep sharing the love she brought into our lives. Helping others would be a meaningful way to celebrate another year of mine.
