Christa and Saul Welger Foundation Inspired by the stories of Christa and Saul.

The Christa & Saul Welger Foundation was established as a tribute to these two tenacious athletes and their almost thirty years of remarkable contributions to the early days of disabled athletics. The Christa & Saul Welger Foundation’s mission is to provide support and opportunities to physically impaired youth to encourage participation in, increase awareness of, and reduce barriers to competing in team sports.

Today, September 18, we celebrate the 65th Anniversary of the first Paralympics that took place in Rome, Italy. This photo includes Saul, 3rd row center. Both Saul and Christa came home with Gold 🥇 and cemented their place in history!
