NA-NA Caterpillarz was established in honor of Naheem Sharif King
(NA-NA), who left us at the age of 8 years old from Congenital Heart Defect (CHD) He left a legacy of caring and sharing. THE NA-NA FOUNDATION was founded by Lisa Clark in 2012 in loving memory of her son Naheem Shariff King (NA-NA) who lost the battle to a Congenital Heart Defect (CHD) in 1997 at the age of 8 years old. NA NA was
diagnosed with a rare heart disorder at birth and was transported to New York Cornell Hospital Intensive Care Unit (ICU) fighting for his life. NA NA was a caring loving kid that shared anything he had with others. He loved school, his teachers, and peers. Also he enjoyed playing with his toys and his peers. He was a genius that could take things apart and put them back together. NA NA was a very clean and GIVING kid. On April 18, 1997 he had a massive heart attack while playing with his toys at Blythedale Children's Hospital. NA-NA was in the hospital almost two years which he never was released. Prior to Blythedale he was at Westchester Medical Center. In his honor we support (SURVIVORS) individuals, families, and communities that are affected by a child born with a Congenital Heart Defect/Disorder (CHD) and/or survivors who has lost a child to (CHD). We will keep NA-NA legacy (Caring & Sharing) alive by increasing supportive services and awareness for our children. WE LOST THE BATTLE (NA-NA) BUT NOT THE FIGHT TO HELP OTHERS. Your support is appreciated.
