Senior Sing A-Long Senior Sing A-Long provides live music performances, music therapy, and personalized mp3 players to people living in long-term care communities.

Believing that interaction with music provides seniors and those in long-term care communities with rejuvenation and better quality of life, Ken and Hattie Van Haaften started Senior Sing A-Long in 2004. The non-profit organization has been providing quality life enrichment programming at an affordable cost ever since. With a vision to provide these services at the lowest cost possible, the organi

zation operates on funds raised through donations, grants, and fundraisers. Volunteer musicians and performing artists from around the area work alongside SSAL by offering their services at a reduced rate. SSAL hired a board certified Music Therapist in 2013 who offers services through the organization and helps to oversee the "Tuned In" program that offers personalized mp3 players to seniors with dementia.

Each year, we bring the life-changing benefits of music therapy—including socialization, memory stimulation, and movement—to seniors in several Fremont-area senior living communities.
