ATV trails are Letters.

Know where you ride. The ATV trails in our system are all marked with letters. The main trail is B the off shoots correspond with that. Such as the BD trail, Hancock to Lake Linden. Snowmobile trails are numbered. Some trails are multiuse so they will have both. Like Hancock to Lake Linden which is snowmobile trail #3 ATV Trail BD. If you are ONLY on a numbered trail, you are riding in the wrong area. This could lead to tickets and fines. We are guests on private property, please be respectful. We do not want to lose any trails in our system. ATV or Snowmobile.

The ONLY oversight of the DNR is our elected officials.
That’s exactly why MISORVA hosts the Legislative Snowmobile & ORV Ride—to show lawmakers firsthand what is at stake for Michigan’s motorized recreation community.

Today, membership is declining across many recreation groups. Younger generations are participating less in clubs and civic organizations, while volunteers continue carrying more of the workload. Meanwhile, recreation itself continues to grow.

Michigan is a destination state. People come here to ride, hunt, fish, hike, bike, and enjoy the incredible natural resources we all share. That access survives because people advocate for it.

Your membership dues support far more than a decal or a name on a roster — they support the voice of motorized recreation in Michigan.

MISORVA works year-round to protect and advance snowmobile and ORV recreation by monitoring legislation, attending DNR and advisory meetings, educating lawmakers, and advocating for fair, transparent use of your trail funds. We work directly with legislators, the DNR, advisory workgroups, and national partners to ensure riders and clubs have representation where decisions are made.

Your dues help support:

Legislative and regulatory advocacy
Representation at DNR, SAW, ORVAW, and MTAC meetings
Protection and oversight of trail funding
Educational outreach and rider awareness
Communication with clubs, members, and the public
Coordination of legislative rides and stakeholder meetings
Administrative support for clubs and riders statewide
A professional lobbyist focused on motorized recreation issues

MISORVA has only two paid employees, and board members and officers volunteer their time and pay many of their own expenses because they believe in protecting recreation for future generations.

When membership declines, the user voice becomes quieter. Decisions affecting your trails, access, funding, and recreation still get made — the question is whether riders have a seat at the table.

If you ride, your membership matters. Join here! https://misorva.org/store/
