A new peer-reviewed study published in Critical Care Nurse highlights the impact that technology-assisted feeding tube placement can have on patient safety and clinical outcomes.

Over a one-year period across five hospitals, researchers reported:
• Zero accidental lung placements
• A 67% reduction in ventilator-associated pneumonia
• A 20% reduction in hospital-acquired aspiration pneumonia
• More than 350 nursing hours saved
• Fewer X-rays needed to confirm placement
• Over $1.5 million in estimated avoided hospital costs

The findings underscore the value of innovations that help clinicians deliver safer, more efficient care while improving the patient experience.
