What a way to end the season! These boys left it all on the field and represented Georgia Academy Baseball Club well with great sportsmanship and a huge championship win in the Southern Sports Summer Slam at Central Park in Cu***ng this weekend. They went 1-1 in pool play and 3-0 in bracket play bringing home the gold rings! They came together as a team and played lights out baseball today with a 10-7 win, a 10-0 win and a 24-6 win in the championship game. It’s not often that the umpire comes to your team huddle and says your team is his favorite team he has ever umpired! Thank you to Coach Larry, Coach Matt, Coach Ralph and Coach Jordan for pouring baseball knowledge and confidence into these kids! Special thanks to Coach Mike for coming out of retirement to help out today!

Fun weekend of baseball for the Braves, going 3-1 in the Memorial Day Classic! Played some good all-around baseball! They debuted new uni’s and took home some swag in prep for their tournament in Florida next week. ⚾️

Early mornings usually mean baseball all day, but this morning it meant serving our community. Thank you to the Rotary Club of Towne Lake for letting us join you for your regular service projects. The morning started delivering Never Alone food boxes to residents of Colbert Square. The residents were all smiles to see these kids surprise them at their doorsteps. The boys commented about how sweet the residents were to them. The players also brought a special gift to each resident -- a gift bag with a crossword puzzle or word search book and a couple of pencils. After all the boxes were delivered, we traveled over to Woofstock Park and cleaned trash from the Greenprints Trail adopted by the Rotary Club of Towne Lake. What a beautiful amenity the City of Woodstock, GA has! If you haven't been, it's worth a trip!
