1:00 p.m. - Everyone throughout Doo Dah Land, even Politicians & Cops, can sing out the National Anthem! Parade Steps Off @ 1:00 p.m.ish

Beer, Bands, Fun Stuff & More ~ All Day!! Support the Bars, Restaurants and merchants on July 4th and everyday (especially our Doo Dah Contributors!)

Parade your stuff around Short North, Victorian & Italian Villages & Harrison West

Dear Doo Dah Volunteers,

We’re delighted you joined the Friends of Doo Dah community to help bring the color, joy, and spirit of the 43rd Annual Doo Dah Parade + Party on July 4, 2026, to life!

From barricades and T-shirt sales to helping bands, parade monitoring & InSECURITY, trash and recycling, and B**rTending, your energy helped keep the celebration rolling—we truly appreciate your time and dedication!

Mark your calendar for the Doo Dah Thanks You Party on October 20th from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. (check your email for location). We hope to see you there. Wear a Doo Dah T-shirt for a group photo.

The Doo Dah DisOrganizers & I would like to thank our Doo Dah Rock Stars!

These wonderfully talented bands donated their time and talents to the Doo Dah Parade Party in Goodale Park on July 4th.

The day started out with a blast from Sonic Skyways, a Midwest Pop & Alternative Rock band; followed by high jumping Brian Clash and the high energy New Coffee House Rebels performing Political Rock; then a delightful sound from GASS performing their cosmic stew; rocking the fest next was tOd and the Bad Ideas, performing both original songs mixed with a few cover tunes; how lucky for us that the Queen of Columbus Blues, Shaun Booker with the Dammit Band swayed the crowd with their soulful sounds; next filling in for a last-minute cancellation, we had a second set from tOd and the Bad Ideas as they came back and rocked the crowd out; For the 14th year in a row Metal-Hybrid music lofted through the park by McCallister, Angela performed her first violin solo, and Daniel mesmerized with his 6 sting bass as Jarret blew us away with his cello; Sadly, the torrential downpour washed out the set of Punk-a-licious MethMatics who I know would have had the crowd wanting to punk out.

I would like to point out that two of our eight bands had women drummers! All-in-all we had drums, guitars, bass, harmonica, saxophone, keys, cello, back up vocals and lead vocals delighting our ears.

We thank these incredibly talented and generous musicians for donating their skills and for giving the crowd a great time. Raincheck to MethMatics!

As usual, the post parade duties must be attended to before writing thoughts and thanks about the 43rd Annual Doo Dah Parade. Now that the dust of that has settled faster than the dust of the DC fireworks, here we are thanking the marchers & spectators.

With the temperature near scorching 100 degrees, it was incredible to see so many spectators and marchers! Here’s a list of marchers that were captured on film:

• Eggs cost so much because all the chickens are in DC.
• The car art is always a delight to the eye
• Empire State Building – meme of a meme of the most recent current event to capture the internet heart and funny bone.

• Thinking Outside the Box – Friends of Goodale Park
• A gal throwing her own birthday party
• Billionaire’s Ballroom w/Dancers from Mz Doo Dah’s cart

• Politician Shannon Hardin – is Running! The Doo Dah 5K
• Less-Than-Grand Marshals Walker & Anne Evens

Happy Independence Day from the Italian Festival Parade! 🇺🇸 🇮🇹

Before we celebrate together this October, get out and enjoy one of Columbus' favorite traditions—the Doo Dah Parade is today in the Short North!

Grab your lawn chair, wave a flag, and support a great Columbus tradition. We'll see you today—and then again on October 11 for the 2026 Italian Festival Parade!
