Summer Learning Opportunities
Maintaining academic momentum during the summer months is vital for long-term student success. Research shows that consistent engagement with literacy and mathematics helps students retain the progress they made during the school year and prepares them for a confident start in the fall.

Our Summer Program
To support this goal, we offer a dedicated Summer School Program designed for students who may benefit from additional instructional support. This program focuses on reinforcing core skills and preventing "summer learning loss," ensuring that every student has the foundation they need for the upcoming grade level.
Eligibility: Invitations are typically extended to students based on academic data and teacher recommendations.
Focus: Targeted instruction in foundational reading and math concepts.
Environment: A supportive, small-group setting that encourages growth and confidence.

We really enjoyed having Woodbury Jr-Sr Color Guard Coach Sam join Spirit Squad practice tonight! We’re so thankful to have amazing people in Woodbury investing in our youth!

Sometimes I forget that Spirit Squad is a fully VOLUNTEER parent/teacher/evergreen employee ran organization. Everyone puts their all into this group!

We’re excited to continue to introduce new skills to our students!

This Teacher Appreciation Week, the Evergreen Ave PTO would like to extend a HUGE thank you to the amazing businesses, community members, students, parents, and staff who helped us celebrate our incredible teachers! 💚🖤

🥪 ShopRite of Brooklawn for donating hoagies for our staff luncheon

We also want to give a very special shoutout to Regina James Regina James’ High School Class for taking the time to assemble the beautiful floral arrangements for our teachers. Your hard work and kindness made the week extra special!

We’re excited to launch a fundraiser for a playground communication board at our school. This board will help children of all abilities express themselves, connect with others, and feel included during playtime.

For some communication is a barrier to joining in. A communication board gives them the tools to share ideas, make friends, and fully participate on the playground.
