What a great night at the PTO Phillies game on Monday! Thank you to all the families who participated and got to witness such an awesome win. It was so much fun spending time together and cheering on the Phillies! ⚾️

The first two weeks of May have been busy ones! These photos are from our PTO Paint Night with Mr. Aaron on May 7. It was such a fun and creative evening, and we loved seeing everyone come together to paint and enjoy time as a school community. Thank you to all who attended and supported the event!

Teacher Appreciation Week was one for the books!

Monday, we kicked things off with sweet treats inspired by If You Give a Mouse a Cookie. 🍪

Tuesday, our staff enjoyed a fiesta-worthy taco bar from El Manantial because just like Dragons, Teachers Love Tacos too. 🌮

Wednesday, teachers added new books to their classroom libraries in the spirit of The Giving Tree and were treated to pretzels by Wawa! 📖🥨

Thursday, administration treated our amazing staff to a catered lunch inspired by The Very Hungry Caterpillar. 🐛

Friday, we wrapped up the week celebrating our “Good Eggs” with a delicious PTO breakfast from Whole and Grounded and Evergreen Patisserie. 🍳

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this week so special for our teachers and staff! Special thanks to ShopRite of West Deptford for the $100 gift card, Wawa for donating soft pretzels, Raising Cane’s for providing drinks for lunch, and Chick-fil-A Deptford for the “Be Our Guest” cards and amazing raffle basket. We are also so grateful to our wonderful parent volunteers and donors, along with local businesses Whole & Grounded, Evergreen Patisserie, and El Manantial for creating delicious meals and treats for our educators. Your generosity helped remind our teachers just how appreciated they truly are! ✨

This year, the PTO celebrated with a storybook theme, pairing classic tales with wonderful treats and meals to show our staff how much we appreciate them! The best part was the students’ personalized notes to their teachers!

➡️ Download or update the BOOK IT!® App
➡️ Tap “Enroll Now” and complete the form

🍕 Important: If you downloaded the app earlier and added child profiles, that’s a great first step—but you may not be fully enrolled yet. Be sure to tap “Enroll for Summer” and complete registration!

Once enrolled, your information (registered children) will appear in the app when the program officially begins on June 1.

If enthusiasm were a superpower, Mr. DeLecce would be flying around West End School in a cape made of school spirit. From high‑fives in the hallway to knowing every kid’s name (and probably their favorite snack), he has a rare talent: making school feel like home—for students, faculty, and the entire West End community.

Today we honor our superhero, Mr. DeLecce on National School Principals’ Day!
