Spay It Forward Cannon County is a 501c3 Organization dedicated to improving the lives of cats in our community by providing spay and neuter resources. We also have a community cat program, practicing TNR (Trap, Neuter, Release) for stray cat colonies in and around Woodbury.

Six cats were spayed/neutered and vaccinated this week!

Streak is the last female in a large private colony of cats I’ve been working on to spay and neuter. Patches is also the last female in a separate private colony. This is the day I’ve waited on for these two groups! The remaining males will also be TNR’d.

We just received word that we are a recipient of a Tennessee Animal Friendly Grant again this year! This grant is made possible to rescues and shelters across the state by the purchase of an animal friendly license plate which I proudly have on two vehicles. This grant will help cats like Makita!

I helped the nicest people tonight trap a wild mama cat that had 5 kittens by a busy road. The kittens are about 4 weeks old.

Please never leave the mama when helping kittens! Help her, too, when at all possible. The lady is going to see it through, getting this little family what it needs.

Rescues need people in the community to take on responsibility. The overwhelming overpopulation problem has gotten too big!
