🍩 CAMPFIRE CINNAMON SUGAR DONUTS 🍩
Ingredients:
1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
½ cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
Vegetable oil for frying
Optional: powdered sugar or chocolate glaze
Directions:
🔥 Prepare your campfire: Set up a Dutch oven over a stable bed of hot coals.
🍩 Shape your donuts: Separate the biscuits and cut a small hole in the center of each. Save the centers for donut holes!
🥄 Heat the oil: With adult supervision, add about 1–2 inches of oil to the Dutch oven and heat to 350°F.
⏲️ Fry until golden: Carefully add a few donuts at a time. Cook approximately 1–2 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
🍬 Add the sweetness: Remove with a slotted spoon, drain briefly on paper towels, and toss in cinnamon sugar while warm.
😋 Enjoy! Share with your fellow Scouts and enjoy a delicious campfire treat!
🏕️ Scout Challenge: Turn donut-making into a fun outdoor cooking lesson! Practice measuring ingredients, cooking safety, and teamwork. Which patrol can create the most delicious donut topping?
⚠️ Safety first: Hot oil and open flames require close adult supervision. Keep water away from hot oil, use heat-resistant gloves, and have an appropriate fire extinguisher nearby.
