Tabitha's Closet - in Maine Tabitha’s Closet, 72 Main St., Winthrop, Maine, is a free clothing ministry of Winthrop United Methodist Church. All are welcome.

We are open on the 2ond & 4th Saturdays monthly, 8:AM to noon. There are no income guidelines or residency requirements. Tabitha’s Closet is a free clothing ministry of the Winthrop United Methodist Church solely supported by donations and volunteers. Its primary mission is to provide, at no charge, clean gently-used apparel for children and adults, and is open to anyone in need. There are no income or residence requirements for patrons of Tabitha’s Closet.

Tabitha’s Closet is open to the public tomorrow June 13, 8 am to 12 noon.
We are located at 72 Main Street in Winthrop, Maine. There are no income guidelines or residency requirements. All are welcome.

In order to serve as many people as possible, patrons of Tabitha’s Closet are asked to adhere to the following guidelines:

Please limit your visits to Tabitha’s Closet
to once a month.

Shoppers are limited to Two bags. Please
honor this policy in fairness to your
fellow shoppers.

Bring your own reusable grocery store
bags with handles. Stores such as
Hannaford have these bags for sale.

No children under seven years of age are
allowed in the upstairs shopping area
unless they are safely in a baby carrier
worn by the shopper. Children seven and
older must stay with the adult shopper who
brought them. The playground next door
at the Methodist Church can be used with
supervision.

Please arrive no later than 11:45.

Items from Tabitha’s Closet are
not for resale. Take what you need for your
personal use or that of your family.

Tabitha’s Closet is a free clothing ministry of the Winthrop United Methodist Church, located at 72 Main Street in Winthrop, Maine. It is open to the public on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month, from 8:00 AM until noon. There are no income guidelines or residency requirements. All are welcome.

Tabitha’s Closet offers high-quality, gently-used clothing for children, infants through the teen years, and for all adults, both women and men.
Footwear, handbags, and other accessories are also available. Tabitha’s Closet also offers bedding, towels, and personal hygiene products. Because Tabitha’s Closet relies on donations of apparel and other items, inventory can vary widely.

Tabitha’s Closet is out of jewelry! Donations of costume jewelry would be welcomed and greatly appreciated. Items may be left in the Donations shed behind Tabitha’s Closet, at 72
Main Street in Winthrop.

Tabitha's Closet in Winthrop, Maine provides anyone to shop for free clothes.
Please read our rules...

* Bring your own (only 2) regular size store shopping bags with handles.
* Please only 1 visit per calendar month.
* Arrive before 11:45am.
* No children under the age of 7 are permitted on premises unless baby in an attached carrier to adult. Children 7 and older must remain with the adult who brought them, at all times.
Supervised use of the playground at the Methodist church next door is available.
* Items are not for resale.
Take only what you need and will use.
