CECO is a Winter Park, FL, non-profit center offering programs for children and adults with motor disabilities, such as cerebral palsy. CECO opened its doors in 2001 with the support of families who wanted a program to challenge their children with motor disabilities to acquire new skills and greater independence. CECO’s mission is to combine physical and social educational methods to meet the uni

que needs of children with motor and cognitive disabilities. Since its inception, CECO has expanded its programs to meet the needs of children and adults with motor disabilities in Central Florida and worldwide. CECO runs a private school, after-school programs, in-home sessions, early intervention program, and summer programs. CECO’s programs infuse motor activities into a life skill-building curriculum focused on increasing the independence of children and adults with motor disabilities.

Last school year at CECO, Emma reminded us every day what determination can accomplish. She became more confident trying new activities, communicating with her PODD book, and participating in academics alongside her classmates.

Her physical progress was just as inspiring. Emma proudly walked through the hallways in her gait trainer, greeted everyone she met, and continued making incredible strides with ladder walking, strength, and balance.

We’re so proud of the amazing young lady Emma is becoming and are excited to continue watching her journey unfold. 💙💜

Today is the 25th day of August, so we are celebrating 25 years of growth, 25 years of hope, and 25 years of changing lives. 💙💜

What began in 2001 as a six-week pilot program with just six students and one classroom has grown into the largest Conductive Education center in the United States and the only one in Florida.

Today, CECO serves more than 150 participants each year, offers seven innovative programs, has grown to 20,000+ square feet, and continues expanding to reach even more children and adults with neurological motor disabilities.

Thank you to every family, donor, volunteer, staff member, and supporter who has been part of our journey. Here's to the next 25 years! 💙💜
