4-H Exploding Bacon Robotics Exploding Bacon is a 4-H Club that competes in FIRST robotics. Proving that with hard work, cooperation, and a little engineering, Pigs really can fly.

Exploding Bacon is a 4-H Club that participates in FIRST robotics. Our team has been thriving and growing since it’s inception in 2006. At the first meeting that year there was a total of six kids and three adult mentors. By kickoff, which was only the second meeting, the team had grown to ten kids, from four different schools, and roughly six adult mentors. Since then the team has grown to roughl

y 30-40 student members in twelve schools from five counties, with a plethora of college and professional mentors leading the way. But, just like FIRST, Exploding Bacon isn’t about building robots. This team is all about building people. Our students learn skills that will help them to become better employees and citizens. In addition to what the students learn, they participate in a wide range of community outreach projects from educational robotic demonstration events to helping those in need.

Hi Friends of Exploding Bacon,

Oink, Oink, BOOM! :pig: We're taking our sizzle to the global stage! 4-H Exploding Bacon Robotics Team 1902 is headed to the FIRST World Championship in Houston, Texas, and we need your help to get there! Our students have engineered an incredible robot and worked tirelessly all season, but now we face our biggest logistical challenge yet: getting our massive team across the country.

Chartering a bus to safely transport our hardworking students, dedicated mentors, and our robot to the the championship costs a whopping $17,985. The great news? Through hard work and dedication, we've already covered a huge chunk of it! However, we still need to raise $6,000 more by May 2nd to cross the finish line and fully fund the ride.

By sponsoring a "ticket," at a variety prices that can work for anyone, you aren't just helping us close this final $6,000 gap; you are directly championing STEM education and ensuring our team can bring our signature bacon flavor to the world stage.
