TuxeE and Pumpkin are 2 sweet brothers who at 12 yrs old, found themselves turned into the shelter probably from the only home they’ve ever known! They are currently in foster care with the hope of finding a new forever home. Foster mom says they are so sweet and gentle and Pumpkin will give little kisses to get more pets. TuxeE is afraid of his own shadow and is grateful to have his brother with him.
Do you have the heart and home to open up to these gentle souls?

ATTENTION::
We have had to CANCEL our Oct 11 Adoption event as no Fosters registered their kitties for the event.
We are posting more on our website, though.
If interested in adopting a kitten or 2, check out our website www.kindnessforcats.org and reach out directly to the foster parents. There will be a few more posted tonight and new ones could be posted daily.

FYI… growing pains, but the end result will be worth it!

A quick heads-up for our Orange County residents.

Orange County Animal Services (OCAS) will be temporarily modifying stray animal intake beginning Monday, October 5th, for approximately one week. Construction crews will be working on infrastructure leading to the shelter’s pet receiving area.

During this temporary period:

•OCAS will ONLY accept stray animals with urgent medical needs or concerning behavior.
•Healthy, friendly stray pets should not be brought to the shelter during this brief construction period.
•If you find a healthy, friendly stray, please try to reunite them with their family or safely care for them temporarily until normal intake resumes.
•Adoptions and other essential shelter services will continue as normal.

A few helpful resources for lost and found pets include the Orange County Animal Services Lost & Found Pet Forum and Petco Love Lost, both of which can help connect pets with their families.

And if you've been thinking about adding a furry friend to your family, this is a great time to visit OCAS and consider adoption. Hundreds of dogs and cats are currently waiting for homes, and every adoption helps create space for another animal in need.

The temporary intake change is expected to last about one week. It’s a short-term inconvenience as construction moves forward on the new shelter.

Please share this information with family, friends and neighbors so everyone knows what to expect. And stay tuned to our social media for updates as construction progresses.

Mark your Calendar…. If you shop Lilly Pulitzer, we’d love for you to go on a shopping spree on Oct 17 at the Millenia Store. Buy some new clothes, help Kindness for Cats foster kitties. Win, win.

UPDATE:: Trixie thanks everyone for the love! She has a potential adopter meeting her tomorrow and a 2nd waiting. In the meantime she gets to run the house with my resident cats.

Trixie is feeling a little down. She can’t understand how her sisters got adopted, but she hasn’t found her forever family yet. This little 10 week old kitten is so playful and friendly. She gets along with the resident grumpy cats and entertains herself too

So on an exciting note..
We actually had 3 more of our Saturday Adoption Event kitties (including the beautiful mama) adopted after the event. The adopters saw them at the event went home and decided they just had to add them to their families!
Woohoo!
Thank you all!!!!
