You've seen our work. But do you know us? ❤️

You've seen our volunteers at the Food Pantry, collecting donations at Make A Difference Day, supporting local nonprofits and bringing service projects into schools and businesses.

Behind all these opportunities is The Volunteer Center.

We connect people who want to make a difference with nonprofit organizations that need their help. We build partnerships, organize projects and make it easier for our community to give back.

And we do it all year long.

A Monday afternoon well spent! ❤️ Our Volunteer Center Service Club students stocked shelves at the food pantry, then switched gears to pack balloons into baggies for a project for BounceChildren’s Foundation.

A day off school. A day on for our community. 💚

Our Service Club made the most of yesterday with three opportunities to give back!

📚 First, we joined our friends at Our Place for book club.
✂️ Next, we made kit pieces for Bounce Children’s Foundation.
🥫 Finally, we headed to the New Trier Township Food Pantry to lend a hand.

Thank you to our nonprofit partners for welcoming our volunteers and to our Service Club members for showing up with energy and kindness!

Tuesday nights are becoming one of our favorites. ❤️

Last night, our Service Club volunteers joined our friends at SNAP for dinner, Halloween crafts, conversation and plenty of laughs.

These evenings are about so much more than serving a meal. They’re about spending time together, making connections and giving our young volunteers the opportunity to experience what community really looks like.

A pretty great way to spend a Tuesday night. 🎃❤️

The Volunteer Center + Connections for the Homeless = making a difference together! ❤️

At Make A Difference Day, our community’s generous donations went directly to Connections for the Homeless to support the individuals and families participating in its programs.

Every bag, box and donated item helps provide practical support—and reminds our neighbors that their community cares.

Thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered and helped turn generosity into action!

Make A Difference Day has officially begun! ❤️
West School students spent the week collecting and sorting donations to help kick off The Volunteer Center’s Make A Difference Day.
And judging by those bags… they understood the assignment. 🙌
This is exactly what Make A Difference Day is about: neighbors, schools and local nonprofits coming together to turn what we have into help for someone else.
A huge thank you to the West School students, families and staff for getting us started in a BIG way!
See you Saturday, October 3!

I particularly like “Make A Difference Day starts here” for the opening slide. It connects this collection to Saturday immediately and gives you a great lead-in for posting more MDD content over the next few days.
