RISE International Every child has the right to education. Every child should have the chance to go to school, to learn to read and write.

RISE builds primary schools in rural Angola to educate children, empower communities, and contribute to the rebuilding of the country. Since 2003, RISE has built 198 rural schools, providing the opportunity for education to over 144,000 children. The greatest achievement lies with the lives impacted, the children who are now in school. The tangible accomplishments, those measurable pieces, represent the efforts of many schools, churches, individuals and groups working together, both in the US and in Angola. The intangible impact in the lives of those on both sides of the ocean is beyond measure.

Wheeling High School's Interact with Africa Club hosted their 5th Annual Trivia Challenge! Wheeling has been raising money and awareness since 2003! The event was filled with energy, excitement, and teamwork. The 3rd grade students Christian Heritage Academy wanted to help kids in Angola go to school after learning about the similarities and differences in their lives. They did chores, donated allowances and savings, and raised $800! Thanks for your generosity and compassion!
