We are super excited to announce TWO learning opportunities for parents!

Our guest teacher and behavioral specialist, John Pangelinan,BCBA will be leading a 3 hour class on October 20th for parents or caregivers of children from toddlers to teens! This introductory class will go over behaviors, communication and real life examples and support.

In a 3-day workshop, John will take a deeper dive into behaviors you may be dealing with, and take the time to work on strategies and offer follow-up support and coaching.

We are thrilled to have John here to help parents and caregivers in our community!

Parenting through Behaviors is an introductory class we are excited to host together with ABA specialist John Pangelinan BCBA

This is a class for parents of children of ALL ages! Toddlers thru teens, John will teach us how to better understand our children’s behaviors, how to communicate, real life examples and support and practical strategies every parent can use.

This class will be held October 20th, 5:30-8:30 in the Linden House upstairs community space.

August came and went in a flash!!!

Some days were busy with a flurry of activities, others were the classic long summers day where we enjoyed the sun!

Summer ended on a good note with a big picnic at the park and lots of time with friends!

July: Celebrations, birthday parties and fun outdoors!

You can’t really ask for a a better mix of activities! We packed many things into this month, but made sure to leave room for relaxing and soaking up sunshine and good friends!

At Linden House, we strive to support our clients in daily activities that they choose and enjoy. Some days are busy, some slow and relaxing. July had a nice mix of all types of days!!

What did YOU do in July?

June.

It’s such a great month here in the PNW- we had sunny weather without TOO much heat. We took advantage of that and spent many days outside!!

We watched a Reptile show, went swimming, to parks and to visit pets. We visited friends and family. We soaked up the sun!!

Along with all the events, activities and outings, we had work to do! Our clients in our supported living program are all hard workers, who with the right support, can live an independent and meaningful life! That may include things like doing dishes, laundry and household chores. That might be trips to the doctors or grocery stores. They might receive support to work on different life skills and therapy sessions.

Supported living looks different for each person depending on their individual needs. At Linden House, we strive to support our clients in a way that helps them THRIVE in every aspect of their lives!

🇺🇸Come on out this SATURDAY and help us celebrate this amazing community and town we call HOME!!

🥚The Winlock Egg Days celebration will be going on all weekend and we are going to be joining the fun! Come shop and support Linden House at our General Store sidewalk sale!!

🍯We will have some local vendors selling LOCAL HONEY and iced coffee drinks! It’s going to be a hot day so come get something to sip while you watch the parade!!

🏡Being part of a community like Winlock is just one thing that makes Linden House special. We truly feel grateful to be part of this town!!

For individuals 18 and older with developmental disabilities, our Overnight Planned Respite Service is a home away from home.

With our DSP’s, CNA’s and in-house RN’s we provide the highest quality care for your loved one.

Respite is essential for caregivers, parents or guardians who care for someone with developmental disabilities. While the reasons are varied, the care your loved one will receive while staying at Linden House OPRS is consistent.
