July: Celebrations, birthday parties and fun outdoors!

You can’t really ask for a a better mix of activities! We packed many things into this month, but made sure to leave room for relaxing and soaking up sunshine and good friends!

At Linden House, we strive to support our clients in daily activities that they choose and enjoy. Some days are busy, some slow and relaxing. July had a nice mix of all types of days!!

June.

It’s such a great month here in the PNW- we had sunny weather without TOO much heat. We took advantage of that and spent many days outside!!

We watched a Reptile show, went swimming, to parks and to visit pets. We visited friends and family. We soaked up the sun!!

Along with all the events, activities and outings, we had work to do! Our clients in our supported living program are all hard workers, who with the right support, can live an independent and meaningful life! That may include things like doing dishes, laundry and household chores. That might be trips to the doctors or grocery stores. They might receive support to work on different life skills and therapy sessions.

Supported living looks different for each person depending on their individual needs. At Linden House, we strive to support our clients in a way that helps them THRIVE in every aspect of their lives!

🇺🇸Come on out this SATURDAY and help us celebrate this amazing community and town we call HOME!!

🥚The Winlock Egg Days celebration will be going on all weekend and we are going to be joining the fun! Come shop and support Linden House at our General Store sidewalk sale!!

🍯We will have some local vendors selling LOCAL HONEY and iced coffee drinks! It’s going to be a hot day so come get something to sip while you watch the parade!!

🏡Being part of a community like Winlock is just one thing that makes Linden House special. We truly feel grateful to be part of this town!!

For individuals 18 and older with developmental disabilities, our Overnight Planned Respite Service is a home away from home.

With our DSP’s, CNA’s and in-house RN’s we provide the highest quality care for your loved one.

Respite is essential for caregivers, parents or guardians who care for someone with developmental disabilities. While the reasons are varied, the care your loved one will receive while staying at Linden House OPRS is consistent.

May at Linden House was full of activity!

To protect their privacy, we don’t always share our clients day-to-day lives or the things they do, but behind the scenes they are BUSY! Or sometimes they hang out at home and have a low-key day. Sometimes there are multiple activities in the day and sometimes none.

They go shopping, to appointments, out with friends and family, out on adventures and interesting excursions, they sometimes stay home and work on things they enjoy, sometimes it’s mundane housework or practicing life skills. Sometimes they have friends over and sometimes hang out in the quiet of their own space.

Like anyone else, the people we support have CHOICE in how they spend their day, and as Supported Living providers, we help them plan and manage their day in a way that makes them feel their best.

May, in the PNW gave us particularly nice weather and that was one consistent thing we all soaked up together!

A big HUGE thank you to everyone who showed up this weekend to shop at our Seasonal Market! Not only are you supporting local vendors, a portion of the proceeds went directly to Linden House Supported Living program and our clients!

We’ve all heard the saying “It takes a village” and we feel it now more than ever before! We are so thankful YOU are part of our village.

The SPRING Seasonal Market was a success and we can’t wait for our WINTER market to see you all again!
