The impacts of the National Senior Games stick with you long after you’ve competed.

Wayne Leever teamed up with his three brothers and a college friend to compete in Beach Volleyball at the 2022 Games in Fort Lauderdale. The group dedicated themselves to getting in shape and lost a combined 125 pounds. But it’s not the pounds lost, or medals won, that Wayne remembers most — it’s the memories made with family and friends. Wayne holds these memories especially close after the loss of two of his brothers last fall.

Wayne's story reminds all of us to get out there and make our own lasting memories.

We kicked things off yesterday and, even with a few bumps in the road, we’re off to an incredible start. Over 1,000 people registered in the first 24 hours, and the momentum is only growing.

Save the Date, Georgia Athletes
We are thrilled to announce that the Georgia Golden Olympics will return the week of September 20, 2026. We are excited to also share that the games will be held in a new location: Clayton County, GA!

After a brief hiatus in 2025, we know athletes across the state are ready to get back to competition, fun, and fellowship.

Stay tuned for more news and updates on specific venues and registration as they become available. We can't wait to see you all again!
