to our young friends from a few local Girl Scout troops who painted more than 100 rocks for the Rock Garden at the Valley Heath Cancer Center. Foundation Executive Director, Jenny Grooms, shared these rocks are a part of hope healing for patients. Each rock was places with love and thoughtfulness. 🩷🦋💙🎨💛

We had so much fun at Food for the Fight this afternoon at the Valley Health Wellness & Fitness Center. Special thanks to our food truck partners: MiMi's, Paco's Taco's, Big Shirley's Seafood Market, and Uncle Beehive's Ice Cream. Shout Out to everyone who decorated a bra for the contest and all those who voted for their favorite. Stay tuned for the winner!

On Wednesday, Valley Health's new mobile 3D mammography unit served its first patient, Sandra Spicher of Inwood, West Virginia.

The vehicle was unveiled this summer and will directly serve the community to make it easier for women to access this lifesaving care.

"By eliminating barriers related to transportation, time, and location, Valley Health will be able to reach and support more women through this important preventative screening," said Spicher.

NICU graduate Abby returned yesterday with a special gift for today’s NICU families: Care Baskets for parents, thoughtfully filled with items that can help during their time in the NICU. Abby created the baskets as she works toward earning her Girl Scout Silver Award, choosing a project that gives back to a place with a special connection to her own story.

Thank you, Abby, for thinking of our NICU families and showing how one act of kindness can make a meaningful difference. We’re cheering you on! 🌟
