We are a nonprofit organization focusing on helping the homeless across America. We were to go to a new stadium every year to celebrate his birthday.

Love to Nic is a nonprofit organization to Nurture, Inspire and Comfort homeless across America. It was created in memory of my wonderful son who suffered mental illness and died too young. I’ve promised to continue and see all the stadiums in his memory. Every year on his birthday (December 6th) we hand out shoes, socks and gloves to the homeless on the streets of a new city. Each pair of shoes includes a note to Inspire them; "These shoes are given with love to honor the xx birthday of my son, Nic, who was taken from this world way too early. As a mother of a wonderful son who suffered from mental illness, I always worried about him and his wellbeing. Please seek medical help if you need it, stay positive, and reach out to your family to let them know how you're doing. A mother's love never dies, regardless of distance or age. I hope these shoes provide you comfort as you follow your path to a positive and happy life." If you’d like to donate any new or lightly used shoes, or gloves please contact me. We gladly accept donations throughout the year.

Love to NIC is grateful to have received a grant from The Power of Change, made possible by voluntary donations from REC members.

With this support, we were able to provide free monthly meals to our local homeless and those in need.

REC members can help power the next local grant by enrolling at myrec.coop/donate.

Your donation will help the growing need for work shoes and winter gear for our local homeless. Today’s luncheon was incredible to see so many nonprofits receive support from you and your donors. A big thank you to Love to NIC for providing new boots and shoes for a young adult in our Alumni Program! ❤️

He recently started a new job that keeps him on his feet all day, so having good, comfortable, supportive shoes is especially important.

We are so thankful for community partners like Love to Nic who help us continue supporting our young people as they move into adulthood, start new jobs, and build their independence. Sometimes something as simple as the right pair of shoes can make a big difference. 👟

Nic has been on my mind a lot these last few days. He’s showing me a few signs that he’s by my side. When I saw this birch tree (my favorite tree) I knew I had to take a picture. This was Nic’s graduation photo, 18 years ago. Love and miss you Freddy!

When in Buffalo, NY why not visit their new stadium and help their homeless. Spreading Love to NIC by providing water, protein bars and chips. Very polite and grateful men today! Two were very excited to be getting in their own apartment and I was very happy to hear the Veterans Affairs were taking care of our homeless Veterans!
