Wilton Kneads is dedicated to creating opportunities for every individual with special needs to find their unique place and shine brightly in the world.

There is nothing more powerful than a mother’s love for her children. And nothing will stop a mom from making sure her child has a sense of purpose, accomplishment and value. This determination led to two moms joining forces to build something for their kids, and hopefully many others, to ensure that they will always have a place to shine. Welcome to Wilton Kneads /Special Deliveries, a unique local endeavor to help kids and young adults with special needs put their amazing skills to good use!

The secret is out, Wilton Kneads is coming to Wilton center!

By the end of this year, we hope to open our doors at
101 Old Ridgefield Road, right in the heart of Wilton Center, the former home of The Painted Cookie.

We couldn’t imagine a more fitting place to begin this next chapter, and we are especially grateful to our dear friend, Susan Schmitt, whose kindness and encouragement have meant so much throughout this journey.

Our next-door neighbors will be Community Steps, Wilton’s transition program for young adults ages 18-22. This partnership couldn’t be more perfect. We look forward to welcoming these incredible young adults into our bakery, where they’ll have the opportunity to learn new skills, gain confidence, and train for meaningful employment.

There is still plenty of work ahead: renovations, equipment installation, licensing, hiring, and training, but thanks to your support, what once felt like a dream is becoming a reality.

Thank you for believing in our mission, attending our events, making donations, sharing our story, and cheering us on every step of the way.

We can’t wait to welcome you through our doors later this year! 🥖🥐🍞

You remind us every day that everyone has unique gifts, talents, and something meaningful to contribute. You are one of the reasons we began this journey, to create a place where adults with disabilities are seen for their abilities, valued for who they are, and given the opportunity to thrive.
As parents, we fight hard for our children. We dream of a future where they are welcomed, included, and given every opportunity to succeed. We will never stop fighting to help create that future, not just for you, but for so many others.
