Last week, the Wilton Land Trust received a generous boost when the Kiwanis Club of Wilton presented us with a $10,300 check to support several key improvements across our preserves!

The funds from the Signature Project Grant will go toward rebuilding a fallen kiosk at the Mayapple trailhead of Gregg Preserve, redesigning and updating trail maps for both Gregg Preserve and Harrison-Smith Preserve, and creating a brand-new trail map for Chestnut Meadows, which previously lacked one.

Thanks to Kiwanis' support, we will be making strides to enhance visitor safety, accessibility, and enjoyment across all 3 well-loved and traveled preserves.

๐Ÿฅพ Trail Stewards Tristan and Enzo completed some much-needed trail maintenance on the Nick Parisot Memorial Trail!

This beautiful trail winds through two of our preserves: Tito Preserve on Tito Lane and Eugenia Slaughter Fields on Pipers Hill Road. Thanks to their hard work, the trail through Tito is widened and cleared of plant debris. ๐Ÿชš

Are you a high school or college student looking for a flexible way to earn community service hours while making a positive impact outdoors? Click the link in our bio and contact us! We'd love to have you join our Trail Steward program! ๐Ÿ’š

Thank you ASML for your hard work at Harrison Smith Preserve!!! ๐Ÿชš๐ŸŒณ๐Ÿฅพ

ASML employees removed invasive plant species, and planted over 70 native plants in the newly cleared forest understory!!

Invasive species like Winged Euonymus, Garlic Mustard, Japanese Barberry, and Japanese Stiltgrass have taken over areas of Harrison-Smith and forced out native plants, significantly reducing biodiversity. Without a variety of native plants in an ecosystem, the amount of animals and insects that can survive becomes severely limited.

With such large crews of ASML volunteers, we've made tremendous progress at Harrison-Smith. ๐Ÿ’š
