The Myrtle Springs Volunteer Fire Department is deeply saddened to announce the passing of one of our own, Kenneth Kines, a valued friend and public servant. Kenneth proudly served the MSVFD and was a dedicated public servant, dedicating many years to serving our community with exceptional commitment and selflessness. His contributions have left a lasting impact, and he will be greatly missed. Always there to lend a helping hand and inspire others, Kenneth was a great friend and a dedicated public servant.

His kindness and dedication will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

We ask that you keep his family in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate this difficult time. 🙏

We would like to recognize two of our newest firefighters for not only their service today, but for the dedication and commitment they have shown since joining our department.

As many of you know, we responded to a major head-on collision this morning. During this difficult incident, both firefighters displayed outstanding performance, professionalism, and the ability to put their training into action when it mattered most.

Firefighters David Goodson and Trey Faris handled themselves with composure, teamwork, and a strong willingness to serve others. We are proud to have both of these gentlemen as part of our department, and their hard work and dedication do not go unnoticed.

David and Trey, thank you for your service, your commitment, and for representing our department so well. We greatly appreciate all that you do.
