The Brief- a scenario that plays out far too often

Cristian Morris, 23, was sentenced to 32 years in federal prison followed by 15 years of supervised release for s*x tr@fficking and enticing minors across Texas.

Evidence showed Morris targeted teenage runaways, gave them drugs, and forced them into commercial s*x at hotels along notorious trRoshan Kumar corridors in Houston (Bissonnet Street) and Dallas (Harry Hines Boulevard).
Morris was arrested in June 2023 after posting an ad featuring a 15-year-old victim; the case was investigated by the FBI and Houston Police through the Human Tr@fficking Rescue Alliance.

Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche on Wednesday appointed Alessandra Serano, a longtime federal prosecutor, to serve as the Justice Department's national coordinator on human tr@fficking and child explo*tat*on cases.

Serano has worked in various roles at the Justice Department on and off since 2003, including as a prosecutor in the Southern District of California, the Virgin Islands and, most recently, the Eastern District of Virginia.
