Mornin' y'all! I'm working on the Free Tree today so hopefully I can reopen it soon! In the meantime, I'm sorting & purging so I can donate to Love & Grace and Then & Again, and I'm putting a lot of boxes of free stuff out by the road for anyone to come by - please take as much as you want!

It's been very difficult to be much help to folks the last few months - especially fire victims. But, I'm able to take a little more time off work now, so hopefully I can get fully operational again.

I do not post on local FB sites, so please feel free to share. I have a lot to give and I need to make room before the rain starts next week ❤️

Had a total of nine of these made up - I have earmarked the sale of these to donate 100% to my co-worker as she recovers from a medical emergency & extensive rehab. These are at Scott's in Myrtle Springs when I'm working. There is a donation jar at the Chevron, one of our sister stores, in Wills Point. Every lil' bit helps. ❤️

So, for a limited time I'm offering the large crosses for the same price as small - $10 each or 3/$25.

Most of the 40+ colors of wire are in stock and available to be made at this time.

August 13, 2026:

Sorry it's been so long posting - it's been quite hectic and it's taken me a while to make the right decisions.

My work schedule has not allowed me to do everything that needs to be done running BaSiC Needs Storehouse. It's been quite overwhelming, actually, and I was forced to just stop for a moment to hear & receive direction.

I will be getting my first social security check next week (!!!), which allows me to cut back on work hours and put the focus back on caring for mama & operating the storehouse. Today is her 83rd birthday and her needs are increasingly greater now. I'll still be stocking the coolers a couple of hours five evenings a week - essentially getting paid to exercise, lol!

Must sign off now, as another drop-off was just made and needs to be processed 😊

Wednesday, June 24, 2026:

When it rains, it pours - and that includes blessings. I'm way behind on getting Yeah, Baby! opened up at East Fork Mall, but that's due to a huge blessing received from my employers. As most of you know, Basic Needs Storehouse doesn't provide an income for me, so I went to work at the little store always mentioned in the location details of my posts - you know, "513 VZCR 3441, three blocks behind Scott's Grocery in Myrtle Springs." Lol

There's a garage attached to the building that used to be the feed store when it was Scott's Grocery & Feed (where I worked 30+ years ago!) and the new owners are allowing me to use it to open on First Monday weekends. Today is move in day!!!

Each month a charity or organization will be chosen to receive 20% of the sales and 100% of the donation jar.

First up will be our Myrtle Springs Volunteer Fire Department, who are in dire need of a new station - as their old one was dilapidated & sadly had to be torn down recently.

We'll be kicking this off on July 3rd & 4th. Please come see us at Scott's Garage, 30707 State Hwy 64, and TIA for helping make Myrtle Springs great again ❤️

June 1st is approaching fast! Gathering items to stock Yeah Baby and my friend, Lisa McWhorter Sosbee gave me an awesome idea -

Not only will we have great handpicked merchandise for your precious little ones, there will also be new & like new items available for your fur-babies! Yeah, baby 🐶 🐱

I've picked up A LOT of new loads lately and was contacted to pick up leftovers from a fundraiser sale for the Friends of Van Zandt County Animals. Their sale will be at the Wills Point Chamber of Commerce on May 29th, so come on out to support a great cause!

Do you like shopping for antiques, vintage or collectibles, thrifting, flea markets & craft fairs?

If you answered yes to any of the above, the East Fork Mall in Sunnyvale is your go to place!

There are 100+ dealers under 40k sq ft of climate-controlled comfort with a huge variety of merchandise to be discovered. Parking is free and clean restrooms are available.

East Fork Mall, located at 613 Hwy 80 in Sunnyvale, is OPEN seven days a week: Mon-Sat 10-5 & Sunday 12-5.

It's for these reasons I have chosen to take the retail operations of Basic Needs Storehouse to East Fork Mall.

AIthough it's 40 miles away from Myrtle Springs, it is THE MOST cost effective way to be able to continue helping people in the community (I believe wholeheartedly that is where helping should start from), disaster victims and to be able to keep my elderly mama out of a nursing home for as long as humanly possible.

School will be out soon and if you're looking for a family-friendly place to take the kiddos shopping, I highly recommend East Fork Mall.

Basic Needs Storehouse is currently in (Mimi'sMercantile), (Guy's & Dolls) & , with hopeful plans of and Lord willing even more expansion in the near future 🙏

Loading up to haul a bunch of great quality merchandise to Sunnyvale this morning. As always, with prices to fit any budget!

Come see all the great deals at East Fork Mall, 613 Hwy 80 in Sunnyvale. We are located in , & . If we don't have what you're looking for, I'm sure one of the other 99+ dealers under 40k sq ft does!

The mall is open seven days a week, rain or shine: Mon-Sat 10-5 & Sunday 12-5. Parking is always free & clean restrooms are available.
