Today we said goodbye to our graduating members of the Spanish Honor Society, and what a bittersweet moment it was. 💛 These students have left a lasting mark through their leadership, dedication, and commitment to excellence. As their chapter sponsor, I am incredibly proud of all they accomplished this year.

As we close this chapter, we’re excited to begin a new one. We are now accepting applications for officer positions for the 2026–2027 school year! This is a wonderful opportunity to grow as a leader, serve your school community, and continue promoting language, culture, and service.

Being part of organizations like the Spanish Honor Society is more than just an honor—it’s a chance to build lifelong skills, form meaningful connections, and make a difference beyond the classroom.

To our seniors: thank you for everything you gave to this group. You will be missed, but we can’t wait to see all you accomplish next. ❤️

Sociedad had the sweetest time during our last visit to JBE, where we celebrated the newly graduated kindergarteners with lots of smiles and fun!

Today, alongside our newly inducted members, we decorated graduation caps, snapped some adorable pictures, read a story about the big transition to 1st grade, and even sang Happy Birthday to our very own WMHS graduate, Joey, a full-circle moment that made the day even more special. To continue promoting literacy, each student went home with a special book to support their transition into first grade. 📚

A huge thank you to Mrs. Edwards for always welcoming us into her classroom with open arms and allowing us to build beautiful connections with her amazing students. She even shared some throwback photos of current Sociedad members from when they were in her kindergarten class! 🥹

We truly had a wonderful time and left with full hearts!

We recently had the joy and honor of inducting our newest members into the Spanish Honor Society! 🇪🇸These outstanding students have demonstrated a true passion for the Spanish language, a commitment to academic excellence, and a heart for cultural appreciation and service.

We were also honored with a beautiful musical opening by our high school jazz band.🎷🎶 It was the perfect touch to an unforgettable evening!

To our new inductees—bienvenidos! You are now part of a tradition that celebrates language, leadership, and love for culture. We’re so proud of you! 💙🎓

🪺 Literacy, laughter, and a little Easter magic!
Our Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica students had a blast visiting JBE this morning as part of our Literacy Buddy Program…this time with a special Easter twist! 🐣 From reading stories aloud to hiding eggs and helping set up sweet surprises, our members were all hands on deck to make it a memorable day for the little ones.

Huge shoutout to our amazing members for sharing their love of reading and service, and to the Easter Bunny for the extra spark of joy! 🐰

🍀☘️ The Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica is on a mission, spreading joy, literacy, and just a little bit of Leprechaun mischief!📚✨

This morning, our kindergarteners walked into a classroom catastrophe at Joyce Bullock Elementary School!!! Tiny pots of gold, toppled chairs, and a very messy (but fun!) surprise. The culprit? A sneaky Leprechaun who thought he could get away with it! 🍀👀

Luckily, our SHH students were there to supervise the cleanup, read some stories, and make sure our little scholars do their best before a well-earned long weekend. 🌈📖

Because even mischievous Leprechauns know literacy is pure gold! 🌟📚💚

💘A Valentine’s Day morning with our little friends from JBE! 💗

During today’s visit, we had the opportunity to read about the importance of being good friends and sharing with others. We also took the chance to bring them some new little friends to the classroom and the little ones adopted a puppy 🐶. We can’t wait to hear their stories next month!
