Muncy local, John Schaeffer, was recently featured in an article in Penn Capital-Star about data centers moving into Pennsylvania towns: "For Schaeffer, a retired investment banker whose connection to the farm goes back to his childhood, it is both a respite and a responsibility. He and his 90-year-old uncle Malcolm Barlow share the rambling 1769 farmhouse — the oldest in Lycoming County — and the family has chosen, over the years, to keep it a working farm."

SIX YEARS - NO ACTION
In June of 2020, then Attorney General Josh Shapiro announced the findings of PA's Statewide Investigating Grand Jury on the unconventional shale gas industry in the state. Many recommendations were made that would help protect the health and safety of PA citizens. To date, NONE of those recommendations have been put in place by lawmakers or regulatory agencies.

There are currently 24,694 permitted fracked gas wells in Pennsylvania. 1,902 of those are in Lycoming County.

On June 25, 2020, Attorney General Josh Shapiro announced the findings and recommendations of Pennsylvania’s 43rd Statewide Investigating Gr...
