[4/40] For our 40th anniversary, we're sharing 40 portraits of the people and partnerships who have helped shape Wichita alongside the Wichita Foundation. Portrait #4 is someone who finds answers to questions others are only beginning to ask.

Claudia Yaujar-Amaro knows that if you want to share information with a community, you have to meet them where they are. Through Planeta Venus, she's built something that does exactly that—and it's still growing.

[3/40] We're spending our 40th anniversary year honoring 40 people and partnerships who have helped shape Wichita alongside the Wichita Foundation. Portrait #3 is someone who has spent much of his life showing up for young people, and who brought that same belief in potential to an unexpected partnership with WF.

Kyle Ellison understands the difference it makes when someone sees your potential and gives you room to grow. That conviction has defined his path and the work driving him forward today.

What started as a research project became a conversation that changed Wichita. For James Chung, who grew up here, the questions were always personal.

[1/40] To mark our 40th anniversary, the Wichita Foundation is releasing 40 portraits celebrating some of the people and partnerships who have helped shape Wichita alongside us. We call it Faces of Impact—and we're starting with two people whose family has been part of our story since the very beginning.

Kate and Clay Bastian may have different interests at first glance, but they share a deep commitment to Wichita and to the people doing good work here. The Bastian family’s connection to the Wichita Foundation goes back 40 years, and it's still growing.

BREAKING: Wichita Foundation’s 40th Anniversary Celebrations are officially here! 🥳

Since our incorporation 40 years ago today, the Wichita Foundation (WF) has had the privilege of working alongside some truly remarkable people who care deeply about this community. Our 40th anniversary is a chance to celebrate those relationships and share where we’re headed next 💙

First up is Faces of Impact, a portrait series by the one and only Aaron Patton featuring 40 individuals and partnerships who have helped shape Wichita alongside WF. We’re kicking off by sharing the first four portraits today, each with a story about the impact they’ve made. The remaining will follow over the next year, with three new portraits revealed each month.

You’ll also hear more about Reimagine Giving, a new initiative that invites our community to think differently about how we support nonprofits, and Fund 316, a way for anyone to give toward emerging needs and opportunities in Wichita.

Our first Face of Impact will be released at 9am, with the next three dropping at 12 p.m., 3 p.m., and 6 p.m.—stay tuned; you won’t want to miss it!
