Our art group has been getting creative, turning costume jewelry into beautiful new works of art! A big thank you to everyone who has donated unwanted jewelry. Your donations are helping inspire some one-of-a-kind creations!

We are still welcoming donations of costume jewelry, so if you have pieces you no longer wear, please consider sharing them with our talented artists. They love giving old jewelry a new life!

📸 A Look Back at the Past Few Months! ❤️

We’ve been busy making memories at the Whitman Council on Aging! From fun events and creative workshops to exciting trips and outings, there’s always something happening at the COA. We love seeing everyone enjoying themselves, trying new things, and spending time together. Here are a few snapshots of the wonderful moments we’ve shared over the past few months! 😊

THIS SUNDAY!!!!
Whitman & Hanson Dollars for Scholars will be hosting the
8th Annual Great Pumpkin Classic Car Show
10AM to 2PM, at Whitman-Hanson Regional High School
Proceeds from the event will benefit Whitman & Hanson Dollars for Scholars.
Admission fee is $5 per person or $15 per family for the event which will include a kids costume contest (beginning at 12 Noon), mechanical bull riding, kids face painting, photo booth, music, raffles, food vendors and Halloween candy.
The entry fee for vehicles in the show is $10 per show car. Dash plaques will be issued for the first 100 cars registered. Show car entry begins at 8:00 AM.
Awards will be given in the following categories: Best of Show; Best in Decade---pre-‘40s; Best in Decade ---‘40s; Best in Decade --- ‘50s; Best in Decade ---‘60s; Best in Decade --- ‘70s; Best in Decade ---‘80s; Best in Decade --- ‘90s; Best in Decade --- ‘2001 to present; Best Special Interest Car; and Best Decorated Car.

💗 Pink Power Day at the COA! 💗

In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we came together wearing pink to show our support, spread hope, and share stories. Our Wall of Hope was filled with meaningful messages, and everyone had the opportunity to choose an inspirational rock to take with them or create one of their own.

A special thank you to Eileen, who made the beautiful inspirational rocks, and to our friend Kathy, who crocheted pink ribbons for everyone, including both pins and magnets.
