The Annie Catherine Pridgen Community Development Foundation extends our heartfelt condolences to Elder Eric McCollum and his family during the passing of his beloved mother.

During times like these, we are reminded that those who spend so much time caring for and supporting others also need the love, prayers, and support of their community. Elder McCollum has been a blessing to many through his leadership, service, and commitment to helping others.

Please join us in keeping Elder McCollum, his family, and the Jerusalem Chapel family lifted in prayer during this difficult time.

With deepest sympathy and love,

ACP Foundation Family

Today we had the honor of awarding the Barbara J. Brown Nursing Scholarship to our 2026 recipient, Patricia D. Forbush of Lenoir Community College.
Patricia brings over 20 years of experience in healthcare, with a background in EMT, phlebotomy, and medical assisting. What stood out most was not just her experience, but her commitment to patient care, compassion, and advocacy. Her journey reflects the same dedication to nursing that defined Barbara J. Brown’s life and legacy.
This scholarship represents more than financial support. It is an investment in the kind of care and commitment our communities depend on.
Thank you to our reviewers for your time, care, and thoughtful evaluation throughout this process. Your role was critical in making this decision.
Thank you as well to everyone who donated and supported this scholarship. Your contributions made this moment possible and directly support the next generation of nurses.
We are proud to continue this legacy and look forward to seeing all that Patricia will accomplish.

What an amazing way to close out our program!

A.C.P. Community Development Foundation extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped make our “Together We Thrive: Celebration Honoring Hearts of Service Awards” a success.

We are especially grateful to our honorees, Dr. Timothy Lance MOMBC and Elder Eric McCollum, JCFWB, and to our keynote speaker, Dr. Flourice W. Richardson, NC A&T English Department, for their leadership, wisdom, and dedication to service.
Special appreciation goes to West Columbus JROTC Cadets, who supported our WAA Veterans Programs. Additionally, ACP would like to thank the JCFWB in Chadbourn, NC, for their community engagement and collaboration with the Central and Eastern NC Food Bank Market Pop-up.

We also sincerely thank the Annie Catherine Pridgen Board Members for your continued leadership, commitment, and support of this mission.
Thank you to The Vineland Depot for hosting us, and to everyone who attended, volunteered, partnered, and celebrated with us. Your presence helped make this event a powerful reminder that when we come together in service, we all thrive.

Southernboii Cuisine, located at 132 Government Complex Road in Whiteville, has been named the NC Rural Center’s 2026 Rural Entrepreneur of the Year.

This is one of the highest honors for rural businesses in North Carolina.

ACP was proud to nominate Southern Boii Cuisine for this recognition. Last year, they also received the $250 ACP Business Showcase Award. Even then, their potential was clear. Now the entire state sees it.

The award will be presented March 27 in Raleigh at the NC Rural Summit.

Join us in congratulating Southern Boii Cuisine on this well-deserved recognition.
