🪏🚧Please take a moment to better understand the upcoming construction downtown! 🪏🚧

We know construction can be inconvenient at times, but these improvements represent an investment in the future of Downtown Whiteville. We encourage everyone to continue shopping, dining, and supporting our local businesses during the project!

🚧 Exciting Improvements Are Coming to Downtown Whiteville! 🚧

Beginning this week, NCDOT will start work on a major infrastructure project in downtown Whiteville, including the installation of a new roundabout at the intersection of Madison, Franklin, and Lee Streets, along with significant underground stormwater improvements. While construction will bring temporary road closures, these upgrades are designed to improve traffic flow, safety, and drainage for years to come.

Construction Schedule
🔹 June 23 – July 7
Northbound and southbound Franklin Street will be closed within the project area.
🔹 July 8 – July 13
All roads within the project area will be open.
🔹 July 13 – October 11
Northbound Lee Street, northbound and southbound Madison Street, and southbound Franklin Street will be closed within the project limits.

✅ Important: All downtown businesses will remain accessible and open throughout construction. Access will be maintained, and Frazier Street and Caldis Street will remain open and can be used to reach Madison Street and surrounding businesses. We encourage everyone to continue shopping, dining, and supporting our local businesses during the project.

Thank you for your patience and support as we work toward a safer, stronger, and more vibrant downtown!
