As we go into this holiday weekend, please remember why we celebrate and honor those who made our freedom possible. Freedom is never free.

Thank you to all who have served our country, and especially to those who gave all in service and sacrifice. May we never forget their courage, dedication, and love for this nation. 🇺🇸❤️🤍💙🇺🇸

What a fun evening at our last meeting until September!

Tonight we welcomed guest speaker Dr. Jonathan Williams, Superintendent of Whiteville City Schools. He shared how well our students are performing and highlighted all the wonderful opportunities our city schools have to offer. We love supporting our local students and seeing them succeed!

We also displayed our club women’s artwork from the district and state competitions along with the certificates they won. We are so proud of our ladies and all of their accomplishments!

We also held a special GFWC memorial presentation for Bobby Ezzell in honor of his late wife, Rosanna Ezzell. Rosanna served as our past president for 10 years and will truly be missed. She was such a wonderful lady who touched so many lives through her dedication and service.

This year’s scholarship winner will receive a $2,000 scholarship in honor of Rosanna Ezzell.

A special thank you to our Education Department ladies for bringing the wonderful snacks tonight. Everything was so delicious!

I hope everyone has a wonderful summer! There is so much to look forward to this fall, so keep an eye out for all of our upcoming events.
