Thought for the day:

I would like to point out that he says in the video that God was working in darkness until day four when He created the sun. However, God created light on day one. 😬 There could still be an argument of whether the light had reached the earth yet.

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

I’m posting this as a reminder…so next year when it’s beautiful out and it seems fine…don’t trust it!! Your peppers and tomatoes will die a torturous death! Don’t. Do. It!

Let’s start seeds!

Did you know zucchini (and a number of other veggies) has male flowers and female flowers? The female flowers produce the fruit, but only if they can be pollinated. When growing indoors under grow lights, they have to be hand pollinated. I don’t think Bro. Warner would be ok with me having bees in our basement. 😬

The flower produced on this baby zucchini (the female flower) died off before the male flower (in the background) was available. I went ahead and removed the zucchini so the plant can focus on some of the others that will be pollinate-able (

FREE SEEDS

Anyone need seeds? This has been an interesting FREE trip for me each year! We love the library! If you’re looking for unique seeds, this would not be the place to look (in my experience). They probably won’t have cherokee pink tomatoes…but maybe! But if you want some free “common” seeds (common herbs, common vegetables, etc) then by all means take advantage of FREE SEEDS!

I believe you do need a Johnson County library card, but they will hook locals up on the spot if you have proof of address. Maybe this is your sign to update your driver’s license as well?? 😉 (You know y’all probably need to do that. 😬)

Either way, enjoy!

Garden with JCPL's Seed Library from our Library of Things. You can choose from 46 different types of vegetable, flower and herb seeds to plant in your home garden.
