So Silas has always freaked out when a baby tooth comes out. I mean screaming, crying, he's traumatized. So this morning as we are getting ready for one of his classmates birthday party, me being the wonderful mom (or so I thought) I was brushing his teeth, and lo and behold out comes one of his front teeth that has been loose for a minute now. I grabbed it, tried to play it off like nothing happened but no, Silas is too smart for Mama to try to pull a fast one. He looks in the mirror, see pinkish toothpaste and a new hole and screams and cries. I hold him, rock him, tell him it is all normal. Finally he calms down and wants to finish brushing his teeth. The other front tooth is just flapping in the wind, holding on by the Grace of God! And what does Silas want me to do? He wants me to pull it! So I did. No crying on tooth #2. Now being the absolute amazing Mother I am, I get on the phone with the tooth fairy and she says he can get 2 toys instead of money after the birthday party and she will pick up his teeth tonight. So now I have a toothless smiley little boy who is so darn cute with new Go Go Power Ranger toys. My morning was eventful and all this with only being 15 minutes late to the birthday party.
