Meet Jorge, our newest Sol Flower Dreamer! 💜🌻

Jorge lives with Duchenne muscular dystrophy and has a HUGE love for Toy Story! His dream? To turn his bedroom into his very own Toy Story world.

Last week, we helped make that happen with new furniture, light-up display cabinets, and a whole lot of Toy Story surprises — including a special delivery from Woody himself! 🤠

With his mom, sisters, nieces, and nephews there to share in the fun, Jorge’s smile said it all!

We’re not quite finished with Jorge’s dream, so stay tuned for more.

Today is World Mental Health Day. 💜🌻

A life-altering diagnosis affects so much more than physical health. The emotional toll is real: the stress, uncertainty, isolation, and weight of it all.

At Project Sol Flower, we believe a bucket list dream offers so much more than a fun experience.

It gives our Dreamers something exciting to look forward to, a positive focus during difficult days, and an opportunity to experience joy, connection, and make lasting memories.

Because a dream is more than a destination. It’s about hope, happiness, and all the moments that make life worth celebrating. 💜🌻

Here’s our co-founder Kaydee zip lining through Costa Rica, checking another adventure off her bucket list, about four months before she passed.🌿🌎

Kaydee believed in making the most of life, saying YES to new experiences, and turning dreams into memories. And that’s exactly the spirit behind Project Sol Flower. 🌻💜

One of our favorite things about Project Sol Flower? Watching Dreamers become friends. 💜

Trevor, Devin, and Cameron each came to PSF with their own bucket list dream. And all three jumped right into the PSF community, volunteering at events and becoming buddies in the process.

Thanks to tickets donated by KSE, we got to send these three and their +1s out for a fun night together.

Dreams are where it starts but we really love what comes after. 🌻💜

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 💗

Breast cancer has touched our own Project Sol Flower community, too. This photo was taken after Lenee’s first day of treatment, with a little Care Bear support by her side.

We’re thinking of everyone impacted by breast cancer, including patients, survivors, families, caregivers, and the people walking beside them.

At Project Sol Flower, we know a diagnosis affects so much more than treatment.

This month, and always, we’re sending extra love to everyone navigating it. 🌻💗

Yesterday, we swung big. Today, we celebrate the reason behind it all. ⛳️💚

On World Dream Day, we’re still smiling about an incredible Sol Flower Classic and feeling so grateful for every golfer, sponsor, volunteer, friend, and supporter who showed up to help us keep dreams moving forward.

Because for Project Sol Flower, dreams aren’t just something we talk about. They’re the trips, experiences, surprises, comforts, and moments of joy we get to create for young adults facing cancer and life-limiting illness.

Yesterday was a perfect reminder of what can happen when a whole lot of people come together around that mission.

Thank you for swinging big, dreaming bigger, and making this work possible.

T-minus ONE day until the inaugural Sol Flower Classic. ⛳🌻

The course is ready. The drinks are chilling. The green bow ties are standing by. And tomorrow, we Swing Big & Dream Bigger for a great cause!

All proceeds benefit Project Sol Flower to ensure that we can keep granting bucket list dreams to young adults facing serious disease.

At the Sol Flower Classic, the winning team won’t receive a green jacket.

They’ll receive a green bow tie. 💚⛳

Ryan was a SigEp at the University of Kansas, and one of his favorite date parties was Boxers & Bow Ties. He loved the party and would text a selfie in his bow tie before heading out. This photo was from the last party he attended.

After Ryan passed, his family had to decide what he would be cremated in. The answer eventually felt obvious: one of his nicest button-downs, a pair of boxers and a bow tie.

Ryan’s favorite color was green, and over time the green bow tie has become one of the ways his family continues to honor him. Swipe for a photo of his brother Ayden Austin in a green bow tie, with golf balls and his brother’s name.

On September 24, when the champions of the Sol Flower Classic are crowned, they’ll each receive a custom green bow tie featuring tiny golf balls and the Project Sol Flower logo.

It’s a nod to Ryan, a tradition with a story behind it, and a fitting way to celebrate the team that comes out on top.

Meet Dreamer Kat 🌻💜

Tomorrow’s monthly Dream Drop is all about Kat — her story, what she’s navigating right now, and the thoughtful dream Project Sol Flower created around the things that matter most to her.

Her dream is also a reminder that a Bucket List Dream doesn’t have to mean a splashy trip or a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Sometimes it looks like feeling a little more supported day to day, having the right tools to keep creating, and making space for the things that still bring you joy.
