🍽️1 in 8 people in the U.S. experience food insecurity and many are right here in our community.

Food insecurity is not always visible; many families may have food today but do not know where their next meal will come from. It can affect working individuals, children, and seniors right here in Jefferson County.

Food insecurity means not having consistent, reliable access to enough food for a healthy, active life. It’s not just hunger; it’s the daily uncertainty of whether you can afford your next meal.

💭For many families, it looks like skipping meals, stretching groceries, or relying on cheaper, less nutritious options. When families must make hard choices with their strained budget, food can often get cut first.

Buy a bag and feed a neighbor during the month of the June. Purchase a community rewards bag at King Soopers 3400 Young Field St. in Wheat Ridge, Colorado and the donation is made directly to Tin Shed food pantry.
