Congratulations to senior Jacob Yanosy, a recipient of the National Football Foundation – Doc Boisoneau Scholar-Athlete Award! Jacob has been an outstanding athlete, teammate, and student throughout his time at WHS. We’ll miss seeing him on the field, but we know he’s going to accomplish great things in his future! 💙🏈🦅

A huge thank you to The Austin Stefano Memorial Foundation, Inc. for their incredibly generous gift to the Wethersfield Eagles Football Boosters! Because of their support, we were able to upgrade our weight room with new equipment. These athletes are getting stronger every day and will be ready for the 2026 season!

This was an amazing moment to witness as Jacob Tirado squatted 420lbs!! The players to his left were from other schools and technically his competition, and yet they cheered him on as if he were a teammate and celebrated his victory right along with us. It was incredibly moving. Congrats, Jacob! You killed that lift! 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

A huge congratulations to our Wethersfield Eagles for taking third in the weightlifting competition today! Those boys worked HARD for every pound lifted and were amazing supporters and teammates to each other. We are so proud! Stay tuned - tomorrow we will feature two of our heaviest lifters of the day! 💪🏻
