Remembering Robert Garrey

It is with heavy hearts that we share the unexpected passing of our Treasurer, Robert Garrey.

Robert was a longtime member of the Wethersfield Village Improvement Association and served as our Treasurer for many years. His love for this community and his generous contributions helped shape the beauty of Wethersfield.

Robert was the organizer behind all of our Arbor Day events, and his devotion to Arbor Day is the reason Wethersfield continues to be a Tree City USA. Every tree that shades our town carries a bit of his legacy.

We miss him deeply. Please keep Robert and his loved ones in your thoughts. If you would like to learn about any services or ways to honor his memory, please reply below and we will share them as we learn more.

With gratitude and sorrow,

Joella Thombs
President, Wethersfield Village Improvement Association

Missed Trash Talk? Watch it now on YouTube - catch up at your own pace on everything we covered about waste, composting and the reality of plastics.

Note: The Plastics audio portion dropped accidentally. You can still follow the slide show. We will try to upload an audio next week. Brad shared some cogent information.

Huge thanks to our speakers, and a special shoutout to our Manager, Fred Presley and Physical Services Director Sally Katz for giving their perspective on the town's role and trash costs when tackling this issue. This is a one hour presentation.
