The Multicultural Problem Gambling Prevention Program is now accepting Requests for Applications from nonprofit organizations serving cultural communities that may be at increased risk for gambling-related harm.

Up to five organizations will receive funding to develop culturally responsive prevention initiatives, strengthen community partnerships, and expand access to education and resources.

Today, we were honored to join Senator Richard Blumenthal at a press conference highlighting the importance of the bipartisan Gaming Advertisement to Minors Enforcement (GAME) Act.

Introduced by Senators Blumenthal and Katie Britt, this legislation would prohibit social media platforms and other advertising-related businesses from targeting minors with gambling advertisements. The bill represents an important step toward protecting young people from gambling-related harm and reducing their exposure to age-inappropriate gambling marketing.

During the event, CCPG Executive Director Diana Goode emphasized the need for strong, nationwide safeguards to protect youth and families. Brailee Whan of the Alliance for Prevention and Wellness, a program of BHcare, spoke about the vulnerability of young people to gambling-related influences and the critical role prevention plays in reducing future harm.

We commend Senators Blumenthal and Britt for their leadership on this issue and remain committed to advancing policies that protect youth, promote responsible practices, and prevent gambling-related harm before it starts.

Please join us for a virtual information session on Wednesday, June 10th from 1:30–2:00 PM regarding the College Campus Gambling Prevention Initiative. The session will provide an overview of the initiative, highlight key program components, review recent updates to the Request for Applications (RFA), and offer an opportunity for participants to ask questions related to the program and application process.
