🌟 Join Us for a Celebration of Community Impact! 🌟

Over the past year, organizations across Connecticut have partnered with the Connecticut Council on Problem Gambling and the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services to deliver culturally tailored prevention initiatives in under-resourced and historically marginalized communities. Through translated materials, community wellness events, media outreach, and trusted peer-led education, these partners have helped build awareness, strengthen protective factors, and foster inclusive support across diverse populations.

Join us as we celebrate the achievements of the Multicultural Problem Gambling Prevention Program, hear directly from grantees about their experiences, enjoy cultural foods, connect with community partners, and recognize the collaboration that made this work possible.

What a beautiful day spent connecting with students at Southern Connecticut State University.

The annual screening event brought together an outstanding team from the problem gambling community, with representatives from CCPG, MCCA, CommuniCare, and APW working side by side to support SCSU’s own incredible Sarah Keiser and her continued leadership in student wellness and prevention.

Students took part in a brief survey focused on gambling behaviors and awareness, helping generate valuable insights while advancing important conversations on campus. As a fun thank-you, participants enjoyed ice cream from Blue Chip Creamery.

Events like this show the power of partnership, prevention, and meeting students where they are. A great day, a great team, and meaningful work in action.
