We’re excited to launch our annual Thanksgiving Food Drive, a time for us to come together as a community and share the spirit of gratitude and giving.
This season, we’re collecting non-perishable thanksgiving items (see list below) to help ensure that every family can enjoy a warm, hearty meal during the holiday.

The KID Thanksgiving Food Drive is a project led by local South Florida teens who come together to collect, pack, and deliver meals to children and families supported by Kids In Distress.

This year, our goal is BIG:
🎯 1,700 meal bags
💰 $27,000 in cash & gift cards

With our community behind us, we know we can make it KIDpossible! 🧡

Every donation, every bag, and every helping hand makes a difference. Let’s come together to make Thanksgiving a little brighter for families in need.

Last night’s KID Auxiliary General Meeting was filled with laughter, love, and good vibes! 💕🦋

Strong women united with one shared mission: helping children in need and bringing hope to those who need it most. It’s all about love, kindness, and making a difference together.

We were also honored to welcome the new CEO and President of Kids in Distress, Raeann Baccus. We look forward to working with you!

🫶Pre-K Activities 🫶
During our second preschool visit, we continued exploring the concept of being a “bucket filler” from Have You Filled a Bucket Today?, focusing on ways to fill our own buckets through self-kindness and appreciation.

One highlight was inviting each child to look in the mirror and share something they appreciated about themselves—a simple but powerful exercise.

We often teach children to be kind to others, but it’s just as important to teach them to be kind to themselves. Caring for ourselves isn’t selfish. When we appreciate who we are and fill our own buckets, we have even more kindness, patience, and love to share with others.
