National Sales Network was founded by a group of African-American sales and sales management professionals in Newark, New Jersey, June 1992. The original purpose of the organization was and still is to enhance the skill development of sales and sales management professionals while providing a forum for networking within the profession. Several well-established Black professional organizations serv

ed as examples of how instrumental an organization of this magnitude could be in providing networking opportunities for sales professionals. Since then, the organization has grown to nine chapters nationwide. These chapters conduct seminars on subjects such as:
• Selling skills
• Negotiating skills
• Job search
• Time management
• Organization skills
• Career management
