The radiological glovebox is among the most recognizable pieces of infrastructure in the nuclear enterprise, and among the most difficult to decontaminate.

Today, glovebox decontamination is typically performed by an operator reaching through glove ports to repeatedly spray and wipe interior surfaces until surveys confirm acceptable contamination levels.
