GAPlayers are making a mark in area theatre!
There is a lot of wonderful community theatre coming up and some of our actors and crew will be a big part of it. Put the community in community theatre and support our friends where you can!
This weekend, Alina S. (our Elizabeth Cratchitt) will be performing in Beauty and the Beast Jr at St. Mary School in Riverside. Just 3 shows: Fri-Sun, Feb 27-March 1. Ticket link in a separate post.
Also Starting this weekend, Joshua and Sarina Knudtson and Erica Berger are in Star Drek 2240 at Ezra-Habonim Jewish Congregation in Skokie. Saturday: 2/28, 3/7 @8:00pm, Sunday: 3/1, 3/8 @1:30pm It’s a Purim Speil, a comic retelling of the Book of Esther for the Feast of Purim. Ticket link in a separate post.
If that isn’t enough this weekend, Riverside Brookfield’s production of Legally Blonde opens this Thursday (26th) and runs thru Sunday. This production includes Isla and Allegra F., Aubrey K., and Emma B. Ticket link in its own post.
We are beyond excited to see our Director, Barb Molina get her chance to shine on stage as Abby Brewster in the Westmont Performing Arts production of the dramedy classic, Arsenic and Old Lace. John Benishek (our Scrooge and Tevye) and Andy Pawlak are also in this show. Performances are March 5, 6, 7 at 7:00 pm; AND a matinee on March 8th at 2:00 pm. Opening on March 13 and running two weekends is Oklahoma! Produced by Gaslight Players at St. Stephen Church in Desplaines. On stage are Matt Mosconi (Curly), Trina Garland (Ado Annie), Kevin Lipecki (Will), Emily Meduzia, and Jeff Blume. A choir consisting of Guardian Angel Players members will participate in this wonderful event with music from our recent production of A Christmas Carol - A New Musical.
