Children’s Community Closet Childrens Community Closet provides children’s, teen, and maternity clothing, shoes, and accessories for free to ALL. We will have extras on hand as well. St.

Volunteer/Volantario! — tinyurl.com/closet26 We are a community organization that exists to collect your used or unworn children's clothing and pass them on to anyone who can use them! ALL are welcome to shop, and everything in the room is free. Our mission is to keep clothing in use and out of landfills, as well as to provide a sustainable and affordable (free!) way for families to clothe babies and kids. This isn't a need-based organization-- we're like a little free library for clothing, and a way for neighbors to share! Open hours will be posted as they become available, and usually happen once a month. Please bring your own bags for "shopping," nothing larger than a white, 13-gallon kitchen garbage bag. We do ask a small free-will cash donation to St. Michael's to help cover our use of the space, utilities and cleaning. Free parking behind St. Michael’s off of Sherwood Road. Michael’s is accessible and stroller friendly! Donations of CHILDREN'S CLOTHING & SHOES can be dropped off ANYTIME at the following location:

We welcome donations of gently used or new children's clothing, shoes, and accessories as well as maternity clothing, sizes 0-14/16, as well as adult small or medium clothing that would work for teenagers. We do NOT accept the following items:
• Underwear
• Clothing and shoes in poor condition (stains, wear, holes, rips, broken zippers, covered in pet hair, worn out elastics, etc.)
• Adult clothes sized L or larger OR that wouldn't work for a teenager
• Toys/games
• Books
• Car seats
• Breast pumps
• Diaper bags/totes
• Bassinets
• Baby bottles
• Formula
• Food
• Strollers
• Plush toys/stuffed animals
• Bedding larger than a standard crib size
• Changing tables/pads

Unacceptable donations will be disposed of at our discretion. Please be respectful of our limited resources when you consider donating-- we have limited storage and we are run by a small committee of busy volunteers! We rely on a larger network of volunteers to help us sort donations and prepare for and restore the space after open hours. We will share volunteer opportunities via this page, or you can message us your email address to receive a monthly email with our volunteer shifts and open hours information. We ask volunteers be at least 16 years old or accompanied by an adult. Please message or email us at [email protected] with any questions!

📣All of the sorting volunteer time slots have been filled for tomorrow - Thursday October 8. If you signed up and are not able to make it, please delete your sign up on Sign Up Genius, or contact us at [email protected] so we can open the space for another volunteer. We encourage anyone who did not sign up this week to choose another one of our Thursday sorts for this month.

As the colder months approach, we’re excited to offer very affordable winter outerwear to our community while raising funds to help support the ongoing operations of Children’s Community Closet.

🎃Thank you to all volunteers who came out for our Halloween Pop-Up. We had over 100 shoppers bring home costumes and themed clothing. Leftover costumes will be shared with Westchester Food Pantry and any newly donated costumes are up for grabs for volunteers who join us in October.
